creating a Fedora 12 Live USB key

  • Slap a USB key into your machine
  • make sure that it is not mounted
  • find the path to the usb key
  • run this command noting the paths to the iso image and usb key
[jmaclean@jmac ~]$ sudo livecd-iso-to-disk --home-size-mb $((1024*2)) isoImages/distro/i386/Fedora-12-i686-Live.iso /dev/sdb1
